Noctua Oil, LLC is an oil & gas exploration company, with specialization in the development of wells in the Smackover Limestone of southern Alabama.  The Smackover Limestone is among the most prolific plays onshore in the southeastern United States.  It is conventionally drilled and completed; the wells are primarily vertically drilled with relatively simple completion techniques (no frac required).  As such, our prospects are cost effective to drill and many achieve production rates of 400 BOPD and recoverable oil reservoirs of 500,000 barrels or more, resulting in superior rates of return for Noctua investors.

Noctua Oil uses proprietary processes to evaluate seismic data for prospect development.  In combination with the use of data from existing wells, we feel that we can target reservoirs with a higher degree of accuracy that enhances ultimate recovery and significantly reduces the probability of dry holes.
